Chinese Heritage Program

A special space for diasporic Chinese individuals to connect

Context

Being connected with one's culture isn't always easy. Though I spent my childhood in China and some of my formative years in Singapore, I’ve been in an (American-) English-dominant environment for the majority of my life at this point, and many Chinese words, traditions, and nuances have faded away. The Chinese Heritage Program was created by Linda Yi, a fellow Chinese American artist, in 2023 as her effort to rediscover parts of her roots. After a few webcomic collaborations, I was brought onboard as a co-host for the program. The Chinese Heritage Program is a centralized hub of information on everything related to Chinese culture, curated from the perspective of a Chinese American individual. It aims to strengthen the bond between diasporic individuals with their cultural heritage through SMART goal setting.
